I finished reintalling my lower control arm and got to thinking about my bolt that goes between the rear spring and lower control arm. Both my left and right have 5/8 inch from the top of the nut to the end of the bolt. It doesn't seem to have enough thread through the nut?
So I checked my friends 02 Z06, and he has about 1 1/2 inches. I believe the z06 is adjust differently, so does anyone have a STOCK 97 coupe that can measure the nut to end of bolt height? I know my rear has been removed once during a clutch replacment, and I don't think it's been put together right.
each car is different, and your's should have been measured before dissasembly. You need a set of scales, or simply adjust for approx ride height at that corner

:iagree: My suggestion is to measure from the lower control arm pivot bolt to the ground. Make sure that the car is on a level surface, and get both sides equal. If necessary, drive the car around a little bit between "adjustments" if you're changing the setting more that 1/8" or so.
I did measure them before removing it. they are both 5/8 of an inch. It just doens't look right because I don't even have any threads coming out of the top of the nut!
