Should I or shouldn't I pour it in? I heard you should pour one bottle in slowly with the car idling into the throttle body where the PCV line goes in. Then pour the second bottle in and let it sit for 12 hrs. After that, start it up and rev the engine to blow out the carbon it dissolved off the pistons and valves. I was considering this b/c I have some pinging ( tip in knock ) in the hot weather on initial acceleration no matter what speed or gear. The C5 is a 2000' with 26,000mi. Do you think it would damage anything? It doesn't do it now that the weather is colder. The bottle's cost $5.75 ea. from the dealer. Peply's appreciated. :seeya

I always get a little nervous on the "pour it in" part because you could hydrolock if you do it too quickly. There is another GM product, part #12345515, that does the same by adding to the gas. I just ordered a case and am going to use it in the next few tanks of gas.

I used this on my 2000 c5, and it worked great. I would buy three bottles, poor the two bottles in slowly while idling the car at 2,000 RPM. then do the last bottle as 800 (normal idle) and once its all gone, shut the engine off. Let is soak for a day and then turn the car on... let it run 5-10 mins and then reve heavily. Once you are all done, remember to do an OIL CHANGE.

now my car runs like a champ, no Knock retard, misfires, or knock :) 28 degress of timing at PE.

Don't be affraid of hydro locking, to do that you would need a thicker fluid and lots more of it!
