whining noise
i heard a whining noise from my driver rear.my friend said it was my
fuel pump. he also said it was nothing to worry about.
the sound went alway . does anyone know if this is normal ?

You've got a `98 - that's a "normal" sound for your car. Do a search for "fuel pump" and you'll probably find quite a few that have posted about this issue.

Greg... I've that I have that as well. I never really new what it was, but I have had it in other cars in the past. :yesnod:
I tend to notice it in gear (A4) and coasting to a slow down. I actual think it sounds cool :cool:

I have recently been hearing a whining noise from the passengers side of my car, funny thing is it only happens when my wife is there :D Just kidding. She never gets on the forum so I think I'm safe. :)

Just add a REAL LOUD exhaust! You will NEVER hear the noise AND your wife will never want to ride in the passengers again! :D :reddevil

was't on and my top is off 99% of time . i love that wind noise.
p.s. i found that george jones @3/4 full ,wind noise , lane changes at 110
got rid of my whine on the right side.
