I think the MN6 would work better in your application, it keeps the 3/4 shifter closer and the MN6s are generally stronger. However, the Rodney built MN12s do seem to be holding for the big cubic inch guys.
I picked up an MN12 because the lower 1st thru 3rd gives the advantages of gears but 3.42 and 1:1 4th and slightly lower 5th keeps my top end for road racing and hwy. runs. Also the MN12 was a great deal used and already gone through by Rodney (Crashed 94)

I have one of Rodneys trannys on the floor of Rogers shop waiting to go in with the stroker--he more or less blue prints the thing aligning and taking burrs off of gears and puts in steel shift forks, Brento2 told me his shifts without any of the notchy feeling you typically have smooth as silk. the m12 trannys seem to have a problem power shifting at high rpm and don't seem to hold up as well, Rodney prefers the m6, my tuner took the m12 out of a stroker/'nos zo6 he was running and put it the m6 and had no more trouble with the power shifting--also his prices are very reasonable and he is a great guy to do business with, if he tells you thursday you can take it too the bank and a great guy period.

I have a Rodney special in both my cars , A built Level 4 m6 and a built Level 4 m12 with no problems at all even after countless track time abuse and everday driving . I also have 2 Diff:gear setups that work Flawless . He knows his Stuff ! :seeya
