The Corsa going in will be no problem if each side is a two piece, but it takes a lot of room under the car to get the stock cat back off because it's not a two piece design like a lot of the aftermarket systems.
I did not have enought room, after putting the car on jackstands, to get the stock system off. I had to use a lift.
My advice if you don't have a lift is to have a good muffler shop install it for you. Should be pretty cheap. Just my .02.
Had my Borla's installed at a local Belle Tire in Ann Arbor. Cost was about $120, and they let me watch. Also, when I called and asked if they knew how to properly jack a Vette I apologized for being overly concerned and that I was just a little **** about my car. The salesperson replied, "And you have every right to be...I would be too."
Someone posted recently that he was able to remove his stock exhaust on Jack Stands. However, he had very tall Jack Stands. You really need 3 feet ground clearance from the bottom of the rear crossmember in order to remove the stock pipes without cutting. I took mine to a local shop and after experiencing the trouble they had, even with a lift, maneuvering the pipes in order to get them over the rear axle, I was very happy I elected to just pay the $90 to have them do it. Another advantage to having a professional shop do it is that they have the tools if something unexpected should occur, like my flanges that were slightly compressed due to the clamps being on too tight during shipping making it impossible to make the over-axle pipe fit the cannister. :mad If this had happened at home, I would have had a problem. They fixed it in 5 minutes because they had the proper specialty tool.
I bought some 6 x 6 blocks and jacked my car up about 31 inches. Even then we had to disconnect the right end of the sway bar and move it out of the way to get the stock pipes out in one piece. You can do it, it just requires getting the rear of your car up at least that high.
