Brakes are one of those things you dont want to skimp on or mess with - I would not recommend it. Leave it to the experts to drill and slot them.

Hi Guys,
I couldn't pass up the opportunity to plug our DBA rotors. Forum special pricing $499 per set.

Re: Drilled Rotors (LG Motorsports)
Gotta agree with the other posts, leave the drilling to the experts. It's a lot of work to do it right, hole size, spacing etc. Done wrong, toss the rotor in the trash. :nonod:

Re: Drilled Rotors (Monster231)
Assuming you're only wanting to do this for looks, and not for performance reasons (you'll only degrade the rotors), I'd still just get a set. You'll have to do the pattern just right, plus go through who knows how many drill bits, then worry about stress relieving everything to keep it from cracking, ....
I'm sure you can do it, but I don't think it'd be worth the time and effort.
Have a good one,
Mike

Re: Drilled Rotors (VetteDrmr)
The hardest part is setting out the pattern. I used Auotcad to set out a pattern that did not drill through any of the cooling fins on the inside of the rotors. I had a used up rear rotor to practice on before I started on mine. The rotors are real soft and drill very easily. I used one drill bit to do all 4 plus one practice. Total time to lay out, drill and stress relieve was probably around 8 hours not including taking the rotors off the car
