Default Information on Balanger Headers

I saw these Balanger Tri-Y headers in the West Coast Corvettes catalog and I was wondering if anyone here has experience with them or can tell me how they compare to other brands of long tube headers. I know that there has been a great deal of discussion here about which long tube headers are the best, however when I tried to do a search just now for both subject headers and post bodies using headers as the only search parameter, it returned nothing! So please accept my appology for asking the same tired old question of which long tube header is the best to buy, but I would appreciate anyone's information and or opinion.

I have them and they are great. Fit and finish is quality. Good for a small or cammed car. If you go to a bigger bore or a stroker I would switch to a bigger diameter pipe.

So then I am assuming that they are a stock diameter of 2.75 " ?

No that is not what I am saying. The design is a tri Y set up. About 3/4 of the way down from the heads the 2 pipes go into 1 near the collector and the same with the other 2 pipes. Take a look at them if you can find a picture. What this does is it gives a little more back pressure than a 1-7/8 open 4 pipe header. You will find that people using the 1 7/8 header will complain when they add a cam that they have no bottom end. This is because of cam design and the big headers. The belangers are good for a cam and up to about 6000 rpm. They produce good low end torque the way they are designed however if you are going to bore or stroke your motor and rev it consantly above 5000 rpm than the belangers start to be a choking part for the added exhaust.
