My 2K Coupe does this when it is cold. Hit those areas with some synthetic spray lube, and put a little grease on the rubber stops under the hood.
Your factory swayarm bushings are dry.. replace them, or lube them...or upgrade them..when you take the bushings off..you will see rust deposits on the bushings.. scrub the rust off.. use some silicone grease , and think about upgrading to neoprene in the early spring..

:iagree: Evil is right on the money! I've experienced this in the past. I used a synthetic brake caliper lube that I also use on the brake caliper pins, etc. Squeek gone! :D
There are 2 things that can cause the front end creaking noise........
1) Hood bumpers. Normally squeaks when you pull into your driveway at slow speeds. Simply put a good amount of carwax on all 4 rubber bumpers.
2) Front swaybar bushings. These will creak or pop at slow speeds. Very noticeable if you go over a speed bump at an angle. Pull the 2x bushings. clean the metal swaybar with WD40..... wipe dry. If the anodized metal surface is not smooth, rusted, paint missing, damage, you will have the noise return. I have tried many different lubes on the rubber. The only thing that worked long term is thick silicone grease.... not the spray, but the grease. Clean the rubber bushings in dawn liquid and wash out as much dirt as you can. Dry completely before reinstalling. Lob a ton of grease on there. Reinstall....... follow the torque specs for the bolts. You also might notice that your bushings are loose or worn. Especially look at the woven material for rips/cuts. Buy yourself a new set. They are cheap...... less than $10 pair. You can install the new ones dry and they should be quiet....... if not...... add the silicone grease.
Mine used to have a really loud squeak in cold weather when going over humps/dips that kind of sounded like it was coming from the back of the dash or just outside the windshield. I sprayed some STP silicone spray on the weatherstripping all the way around the hood and it went away.
