It was weird, P1870 codes last month, then just installed newly programmed PCM, drove to work fine, then started slipping in 3rd, then 10minutes later in 2nd (when I turned around to park it at the office), then 5 minutes later 1st.
I just ordered an FLP 4LE65 'Level 5' trans, should arrive in 1st week of January. Maybe 2nd week.
Just curious, why'd you need the new PCM? Was this a flash re-tune or something? Could it be something messed up with the PCM controlling the A4?
Might not be mechanical, but with your HP.... I DOUBT IT!!
This was my first tune after the motor build, did a few runs with a laptop running EASE software recording everything, even the P1870 code that I was scoffing at. Sent that up to JR who analyzed the runs and loaded a new tune in the PCM, he also mentioned the P1870 codes.
Oddly enough it didn't pass smog partially because it threw P0300 and P1870 codes, but only the P1870 code caused the check engine light.
I think it runs better, but the slippage explains why it didn't feel faster. :leaving:
