Most all X-pipes are the same in that they require the old H-pipe to be cut off and the X-pipe welded on. My Corsa X-pipe toned down the popping/gurgle but did not totally eliminate it.
I have the LG offroad x-pipe. I am one of the few I guess that love that popping sound. I love coming by someone in 2nd or 3rd and letting off the throttle and watch their faces as that SOB pops and crackles. :D
I have the Random Tech high flow cats and x- pipe. With TPIS long tube hearders and GHL Exhaust. And I have the "pop and gurgle" on deceleration ( most of the time ) and I love it too. Sounds like a true American V8 Muscle car, which it is :D The instalation was very very easy, the parts just slide together. I have pictures on a link below my signature if you are interested.
If I am understand airflow correctly the "pop and gurgle" is the airflow back pressure coming back into the pipes vs the exhaust going out of the pipes. Most aftermarket headers and exhaust pipes will give you some "pop and gurgle" on deceleration. So if you do NOT WANT the pop and gurgle stay with the OEM headers and exhaust. Maybe some one can chime in here with the specific details about this.
