Anyone have this mod with oil accumulated in the lil clear container and actually have less oil in it the next time you checked it??? Possible to get sucked back thru filter??? I checked and the bottom has no signs of leaking

I noticed on mine that it takes about a week for the level to fill to about 1/4" deep in the filter. If I empty the filter it will refill to the same level in another week. If I DON'T empty the filter, the level never changes from the 1/4" that was there after a week. I've gone about 2 months without draining it and it never went above 1/4", but as soon as it's emptied the oil comes back in about a week.

yeah I noticed the same....any physics/chemistry majors that can explain this???? I would think it has to do with pressure??? I know its not leaking out of the bottom thru the relief valve..hmmmm

Same here, 1/4 inch and no more, I am using the Campbell Hausfeld filter without the inner filter. I cut the bowl down to make it smaller

I wonder if the temp of the air going through the reservoir is only allowing it to fill to a certain level. Maybe if the reservoir was deeper it would make a difference. :seeya

Here is a pic of my catchcan that I made myself: (there is a foam filter rolled up inside to soak up the airborn oil mist)

I check it every few weeks and only get a few tablespoons of oil each time. Maybe I will let it go for a month or longer and see if the amount increases.

Well,,,,,,,,,,,,for those of you that think that the oil is being sucked back out, give this a shot! Fill it with clean oil to a level higher than the 1/4" mark (say 1/2 - 3/4" level) and reinstall the bowl. Drive it for a week and see if there is MORE or LESS oil.

That should solve that theory!
