A few months back, some people were experiencjng problems with their FLP's with the tabs breaking at the weld. Has anyone bought a set lately? How is the fit and is this problem now corrected? Any O2 problems after the install? The LG's seem to be producing a lot of O2 related problems lately on the forum.
Mine are over a year old and I had the tab problem, any good muffler shop with a welder can fix it in 5 min's for less than $20.00. No 02 issues either.
while I was installing mine and before bolting that lower mount up, I noticed that the support tabs werent flush with the bracket, so I bent the "L" shaped bracket until all surfaces fit completely flat and flush before bolting it together so the tabs were not preloaded. If everything doesnt fit or line perfectly up, that will preload the tabs and cause the weld to break.
Oh yeah, Ive had mine on for a year with no problems.
Have had mine on for a little over a year and 7k miles. The jet hot coating looks like new and no problems with tabs. Some of the tab problems reported on the forum appeared to be the result of speed bump scrapes with lowered cars. I am totally satisfied with my FLP's and they sound awesome hooked up with GHL's.

:iagree:
My bracket didn't sit flush with the tabs either so I loosened the bracket and then I put 2 washers between 1 tab and the bracket to close the gap that was left, make sure the headers are bolted securely to the head before you loosen the lower bracket or you will have a preload on it.
No, at the time I was thinking my next mods were going to be a H/C package. Now that I've seen the C6 all mods are on hold as I don't want to hurt resale.
But I did a few wide-band dyno pulls and my AFR's leaned out considerable. I was super rich before the FLP's down to 11:0.1 and saw 292 RWHP. After the FLP's AFR's right at 12:8.1 and RWHP was 324 - a gain of 32 RWHP. The car runs great and sounds great too.
