Compass in rearview

Anyone put one of those rearview mirrors in your C5 that have a digital compass that you see in the backs of car magazines??

I installed a Gentex autodimming mirror with compass and outside thermometer in my 01 coupe. I had to add map lights to it (white LEDs) because the C5 uses these as the interior light when you open the doors. Gentex recently came out with a autodim compass mirror with built-in map lights. It is about $299. I had to run aditional wires behind the windshield surrond interior trim, down into the passenger side footwell/fusebox.

You may want to check ebay....

In a previous car I bought a radar detector with a compass, an in-expensive option with some extra protection.

I wonder if they decided to put in heat seats... I wish I had heated seats..... my Jeep Wrangler has heated seats (aftermarket of course) but not my Vette. :mad :bs :cry

i have a $3.99 handheld compas that i bought at a sporting goods store and leave it in the glove box on the rare occasions that i need it.

I don't know what type of GPS system the C6 has as an option, but if you get that you probably don't need a compass since most of them will tell you what direction you are going relative to North. Obviously you wouldn't buy the GPS just for a compass, though.
