Well I am thoroughly impressed with the LS1 engine. Just sold my C4 convertible a month ago and picked up an 02' convertible. Took it to the track today with the stock EMT tires and ran the above time. Cut a 1.9 60'. Have the Blackwing air filter, Carbon Fiber airbridge and the smooth intake bellows between the throttle body and air bridge. Have the Z51 suspension and 3.15 axle ratio. Car definitely surprised me and most of my friends out there today. There was a 2002 SS camaro out there too that had a lid, 3800 TCI stall converter and LS1 edit and he was running 12.40's at 107-108. That car surprised me too.

The car definitely is a strong runner. About 4-5 tenths quicker than my 96' and 6 mph faster in the 1/4. Still could not believe that with just a torque converter that stock Z28 was running 12.40's. Must not have quite the same peak HP as the vette but it hooked hard on the nitto's.
