I recently purchased a set of stcok z06 rims and tires. Now, thecar feels kind of wierd on uneven surface, it pulls to a side from time to time. Also, when try to make a turn with the steering wheel turned all the way to one side, there is some jerking in the front tires. So, do I need to get my alignment done to the Z06 specs, Please help.
The Z06 rim not only is wider, there is also a lower offset. Both will lead to a rim that is more to the outside, and thus more senitive on the front wheels to any iuneven streets. It runs a bit more its own way.
Beside this, due to the different geometrie, you should do an alignment when going from stock to Z06 rims.

I have Z06 wheels on my C5 convertible (summer only). I keep a "modified" Z06 alignment all year 'round. Doing an alignment every 12,000 to 18,000 miles is definitely a good idea.
The car may "hunt" more in truck ruts, and will do so even more with a Z06 alignment because of the higher negative camber. Front tire wear will also be higher on the Z06 alignment.
