Re: Darton block 427 anyone have one? (kumar75150)
hmmm I might be switching once I figure out if just pistons will be enough to make the switch from my Lunati stroker to a 434.
The pistons and re-balancing will be the only thing you will need to convert to the big bore( rings and bearings as well :D ) Any crank and rod combination that worked in the factory bore size can be installed in the big bore engines with little work. The bore size for a power adder application would be 4.100 on our block and NA we can run up to 4.120 safely, I recc. staying @ 4.100 bore as this will leave you room down the road to make changes or do rebuilds.
We had a few N2o misshaps over the years and replacing sleeves in a hole hear and there is not a problem either, just not under warranty :D . We do help out our customers with special pricing in these kind of situations

Nice. I will probably wait til at least this summer. This might be a decent B-day present to myself at the end of the summer.
I havent been able to find anyone else offering a warranty on the block itself unless I was buying the whole shortblock from them.
Part of our warrante would deffinately include working with the engine assembler as well as the installer, we want to give as much support to the builder and installer as possible as we all know how miscommunication can cause problems :D
I don't think anyone can afford to warrante anything due to miscommunication  We are commited to supporting all our products
Re: Darton block 427 anyone have one? (Nick Agostino)
I can personally vouch for the quality of ARE's Blocks. That is what I have been hammering in my beast with no problems. That is one great product
Re: Darton block 427 anyone have one? (Major Spray)
Thanks Major spray, we were weary of selling some one a resleeved block with a name like major spray :D Actually we have been hammering one a "little" harder in the Z28 for a few years now :auto: Hopefully you will have the first resleeved 8 sec. C5  Keep hammering away
Re: Darton block 427 anyone have one? (Buckmaster)
Can these resleeved 427 engines be used as in a daily driver? I put 12K miles a year on my Z and it is my only car.
I feel quite confident that the stock LSx motors are bulletproof from my 2 years here on the forum. Can this be said of any of the 427 engines either the darton or the C5R block?

We have a few over 30,000 miles and are daily drivers, even one in Australia with I think over 20,000 miles with no issues. The C5R block will have no issues on the street as a daily driver.
