I am thinking about replacing my radiator. Ron Davis radiators I hear are the best but they do cost some coin. Anybody use anything else??? BeCool??? Anything???
I have been running a Be Cool for 3 years. larger capacity enables the engine to stay cooler under extreme conditions. It has taken everything I could throw at it. :smash: If I had to do it again, I would get the rad that has the engine oil cooler built in. I dont have the room to do the oil cooler that I wanted to do in the first place...
I've run the Be-Cool w/ oil cooler in both my DRM CAMARO SS w/ 383 stroker and my 2002 Cartek H/C Z06. Both lowered coolant temp to where it doesn't exceed 185-190 on the track. Oil temp on the Z06 has gone from 290+ to around 230, although the days may have been different weatherwise.
Only minor problem I've had w/ Z06 configuration was in Fall when temps dipped below freezing and I was driving on Interstate in 6th, the check engine light was set off by a low temp condition which registered in the DIC because the coolant was running below 150.
BeCool radiators are great! We actually have in stock that is going at a very low discounted grand opening price. It is for an A4 trans which is just what you need.
