I like mine.

Bias seems to be most noticable in parking lots (slow speed) producing less nose dive.

Can't comment about shorter distances.

Install was easy for me...I did not have to remove the juction box.

Shoot I didn't even have to bleed. I just put my stock one back in because my rear was locking up and ABS was kicking in too much.

I do not know if the bias spring makes for shorter distances but it does reduce nosedive. I find it makes the transition from going straight to turning a bit easier. Since the rear brakes are doing more work than before it making it a bit easier on the fronts and they don't seem to over heat as much on a roadcourse or a fast run through the twisties as they did before.

Be sure to bleed the brakes when you install the spring or you might end up with the rears locking up and the ABS engaging too early.

Had some interesting videos of my 97 and a 99 at an autocross. We were both coming down a straight and hitting around 60 then hard braking for a hairpin turn. He had the spring I did not. As best we could tell his car nosed dived just as much as mine did.

If you want to do it right put one of these in...

Disregard where I stated below leaving the internals in the junction block. You have to remove the internals for proper functionality.

John, are you saying the bias spring wasn't making my ABS kick in?

I took it out and my ABS problem is gone. I don't have any codes and never have.

Lou is the one that told me to take it out.

Someone else in here posted, not bleeding will cause ABS to kick in. Is that true? I didn't bleed and I have full pedal.b

ABS is computer controlled. The computer monitors the wheel speed sensors to detect wheel lockup. When the computer senses wheel lock up at one or more wheels it modulates brake pressure to the affected wheels to allow them to rotate a little. The only thing that will cause it to come on is wheel lock up as indicated by the sensors. So whatever contributes to wheel lock up will cause it come on. Improper bleeding can get air into the ABS modulation system and cause it to work improperly but cannot cause it to turn on. Only the computer can do that.

Thanks Bill, so it can make it not work but it won't make it kick in because that is controlled by the speed sensor / computer.

So to infer from wha you said Bill. The Bias spring gives you more rear brake. if you couple that with more pad you could get the rears to stop spinning at low speeds at which point ABS would kick in.

I replaced the bias spring by just removing and replacing the spring holder and didn't bleed (I know I should have) and my pedal feels great. Anyone see any problems.

I assume it got a little air, but didn't know how that spring compartment worked in the distribution block.
