Wipers almost fixed....one last problem..they won't park
First, I would like to thank everyone that helped me with this problem
I took the advice of people on this board and found the problem with my wipers not working when it rains.....the drains were clogged and the wiper motor was getting flooded. I still have one problem remaining. The wipers won't park. I took off the cover and ohmed out the switch. The switch is fine. So, my question is: What exactly do the 2 relays do? Does one of them have something to do with the "park" function of the wipers?

Did you remove the wiper motor??? if so you removed the cam??(cam is the part that rotates, attached to the motor). it sounds like it out of time. what you have to do is remove the cam, set the wiper switch to delay, let it cycle and stop, turn key off. remount the cam with a 4-5 mm gap between the prawl and the stop. :smash:

Hmm. interesting...I did not remove the motor. Although I am sure that it might be out of time, because it did something interesting yesterday. While I was driving, the wipers moved down to park by themselves and then back up only partially, and now they won't work at all again. I am suspecting that they are in some "illegal" state where the cam is mis-positioned. Does that sound possible? They are really being a pain in my butt. I will take them apart again this week, and try out your suggestion. Hopefully it will fix all my problems.

Ohh, one more thing...what is a prawl? I am not sure I have ever heard taht word used. Is it the lobe on the cam? I am thinking it might be more obvious to me once I get the assembly out again.
