I adding Z06 Sway Bars and saw Ecklers has a 30mm Z06 urethane bushing for the Front Bar. My question, is are bushing and holders diffent from the normal C-5 which is a frame bushing which is a little odd shape.
I wonder about the shape of the bushing. The picture of the 26mm bushing is one shape and the picture of the 30mm bushing is another shape or maybe Ecklers just has the wrong bushings
The bushing is the same shape just larger diameter to allow for the larger bar. I obtained mine from GMpartsdirect.com and it came with all the hardware necessary. Going to the Z06 bars is a good upgrade, you won't regret it.
Just to give you guys an update. I got Poly Bushings from Eckler's. The rear bushings I had to drill out because they only had a 22mm and I needed a 23.6mm A 15/16 wood bit work great. I got rid of the plactic end links at the same time.
One old rear rubber bushing was stuck on the bar, so the bar could not move in the bushing also when I took the holder off the bushing came apart.
Result is the ride is just littler firmer, I like it. I tested the new setup last night and the car handle much better. Exit off I-95 ramp much much faster than before and it could had been puch more.
I do fell when it come time for new shocks the setup would be almost perfect for daily driving.
