My brain is scramble after researching torque converters. Help pick one.
Yank SY3500
Yank SS3600
Yank SS3800
Daily Driver, 3.73, cam, intake, headers, catbacks. 12.24 at the track on street tires.
Street tires on the street and drag radials (a few times a year) for now on at the track.
Wife needs to be happy and comortable driving it.
Any supporting opinion would be appreciated..

ALso, where is the best deal on a Yank converter???
I have an SS3600 with 3.73 rear, installed since Mid-December 03. My vette is not a daily driver but I drive it as much as I can, weather permitting (have 11K miles in 10 months of ownership). It's looser than stock, but you get used to it fairly quickly. It's STR is much higher than SY3500 and will give a lot more punch off the line. When I was trying to decide between an SY3500 and SS3600, Mike at Yank suggested to go with SS3600 as it feels tighter than the SY3500. BTW, my wife has no issues driving this setup :jester .
I've had a SS3800 laying around for way too long now :( that I'm going to replace my SY3500 with when I get some time to pay attention to my car. My guess is the wife would be happier with the tighter converter so the SS is a good choice. FWIW, I see about ~2000 RPM pulling gently away from a stop with the SY, about 1/4 throttle. She may or may not like the exhaust noise level.
