Good luck getting responses with all those restrictions you've got on your request. :D
My 1 3/4" Kooks headers came out to being the same weight as the stock manifolds, which isn't bad considering how much longer they are.
The x-pipe with cats ended up being about 10 pounds lighter than the stock monstrosity. These are all as weighed the day of install by me getting on the bathroom scale, getting off and picking up the parts, then subtracting the difference.
Just pick a set and run with it - any decent long tube setup will make so much more power than stock that a pound or ten more or less in weight is irrelevant. :smash:
There was another thread that recently had weights for LGM's and the Dynatech Supermaxx systems. You may want to look back a week or two through the threads.
Edit: Found it, half way down on this page, a post by "bgood".
The SuperMaxx header pkg weight was from a response from a Dynatech email. I plan to weigh the entire Dynatech pkg myself also when it arrives this week.
Now we need someone who got the Kooks GP to weigh their system when they get it.
:iagree:
I've got mine coming soon. I will weigh them and post it if someone hasn't done it by then. I'll also be pulling my set of Stainless Works off to go on another car. I can weigh those and post that info then also. :D I understand Haltech has a titanium LT system that was 58lbs. lighter than the C5 stock system, where did it go?
Blorton weighed his Kooks when we installed them a couple of weeks ago and we compared them to the stock setup comprising of everything from the exhaust manifolds back to, but not including, the GHL's. I don't have the exact weights with me but I do remember that the difference in weight between the Kooks system and the stock system was only a very few pounds with the Kooks coming in just slightly lighter. We were very surprised.
Maybe Dan will weigh in here with the actual weights if he remembers them.
i know nobody asked but i am selling my flp long tube system and have it off the car, so i weighed them. the full system with cats and x pipe is 52 ibs
What are changing to (and why)? Make sure you weigh the replacement system!
