Bought a used FRC/Z partition and the pressure fit method of installation has been less than successful. It bounces out. I installed some snaps and strapping to hold the top of it. There is a nice metal bulkhead at the front edge of the trunk. I would like to do the same for the lower edge.
I checked the Tech Tips tubbing article. Basically, I want to just screw in a snap through the carpeting in the vertical wall of the wheel well.
Is the plastic there thick enough and strong enough to support a screw-in snap? Will the screw get enough bite to be useable?
Wish you had found the ones I sell. I don't use snaps at all, all velcro so you don't have to drill holes. I had one of the friction fit ones from some guy on ebay---mistake!!! So I made my own and sell them now. Like the Andy's, but half the price.
