I've been advised by the local drag strip not to return without a 5 point roll bar cage. I have a c5 convertible and I'm new to this so any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Re: Need Info on Roll Bar Cages.... (RU Torch Red)
Check with Wolfracecraft.com, I got my 6 point from them. The shop that instaled it was very pleased with the quality and fit. It is NHRA legal as well.
Re: Need Info on Roll Bar Cages.... (COLORADO FRC)

It won't work for you..(I am 6'2" and 205lbs) I was looking into this and I brought my car to a reputable place and I would lose to much seat travel and back rest adj to fit one in the car. On top of it, there wouldn't be the legal amount of head room (4" above helmet) to even put one in the car w/o top problems.
Reb Specialties will not come up
need phone #'s
please
Has anyone seen The ONE's roll cage that was done in Dallas by RPM
Built by Meyer Engineering
It is bad azz
and a big fat boy or girl, tall or small ,thin or fat this cage will not interfere with seat travel or head ht.
Unless this reb speciality can be found, this is where my vert is going in a couple of weeks, and to mention this is going in a C5 show car .

I'll believe it when I see.. Sorry, not to be a pessimist, but w/o cutting up the tonneau cover (and probably not even then). I tried to work it, out..The only possibility may have been to sit under the bar, which is not legal, you need to be in front of the bar, and your head has to be at least 4" under it with the helmet on.
Chris
Go to
Speed Works site and look at the install and yes they do cut out only a small
piece out of the tonneau
I am not plugging them but I am going with this on My Show Car and Having
RPM in Dallas do the install by recomendations from
THE ONE which is one of our forum brothers!!
the cutting of the tonneau is the only way you can get the cage behind you and not over you.
I have the Wolfecraft in my coupe with the take out side bars and it was also a great install
my .02
Go to Galleries and then click onto images and it will bring up the install on the Blue 02 vert
Rock On
Chris
You didn't go far enough
I t's the blue vert in the pic's after the red one that has the hoops
I see the blue vert, but I don't see the bars that go from the back of the main hoop into the trunk. There are very specific angle requirements on those bars...
And I believe there is a legality issue w/the center mount bar...

Well, you're welcome to your opinon but apparently you didn't learn the same lessons as a kid as I did, I didn't post pics of that bar to get peoples opinions....
As for your questions, I didn't lose any seat travel although due to where the bar "has to be" in the vert, you won't be able to have to seat against the wall, which wasn't an issue for me, as I needed to be up a little to work the clutch correctly and no, the seats aren't upright although I'm not riding "gansta style" either. I'm 6'0 180 so a lot smaller than you...I think you're gonna have issues with any legal bar in a vert and trying to remain comfortable....I am, and I like the bar, but hey, that's me.
