With my Eclipse, I always wrote up how-tos on the projects that I did for the car, similar to how jmX does, but since he's had most of the bases covered for C5's, I haven't spent much time doing that with the Corvette.
Well, I finally did a mod that he doesn't have on his site, so I took a few minutes and did a bit of a writeup of this one.
This is the install of a 13lb Hawker racing battery, and the bracket I made for tying it down.
Re: Racing battery install writeup completed (JakeL)
 Did a similar project about two months ago. The Battery saves 25 lbs. in weight. Since it is a drycell type it will not leak. It will hold a charge for a good two weeks. I opted for the metal jacket version that will handle higher engine bay temps.
The bracket I made was a simple design with a threaded rod on each side of the battery. I used a piece of aluminum channel to secure the battery on the top, laying down flat, with nylocks. Covered the rods and channel in HD shrink tube. I used a vinyl pad on the battery tray for shock absorption.
