Default dead battery

I was showing my neighbor the vette this morning and he must have turned on the parking lights ,we closed her up and went to work, came home ..battery dead! Question!! is it ok to jump start the car with battery cables and then run it a while to recharge the battery? any precautions i need to heed?tia!!!! :troll

You'd have to run it on the highway for quite a distance. I recommend that you charge it with an automatic battery charger (6-15 amps). Someone recently asked the same question about jumping and many forum members have used their C5s to jump or receive jumps. Personally, I can't see how connecting your battery to someone else's can damage your car. Still, I'd also check my owner's manual to see if any precautions are listed, as well.
