Sorry if this is a really lame questions, but, I have Flowmaster muffs and a Magnaflow X-Pipe, will the SW's connect up with my existing system or would I need to replace the Magnaflow X-Pipe ???

Thanks,

Mark

Makes sure you receive the clamps that DO come with the set.

Don't let the vendor short change your on these, if you have to purchase them they are about 7.50 a piece.

FYI...

In my experience this vendor [Stainless Works] doesn't "shortchange" their customers! I had a band strap clamp strip and SW sent me two replacements at no charge. Shortchanged?

I loved my stainless works headers! My friend has LGM's on his car andI think that the SW's sound much better. And they fit tighter/better to the bottom of the car.

Ryan

Sorry for the confusion on the clamps-when you called needing the clamps Ben did not understand that you had our headers and did not receive the clamps-he only understood that you needed to order them and you gave him your billing info with him being unaware of you not receiving the clamps. We sell replacement clamps to customers who strip them, lose them, etc. After you received them and posted you were upset about the clamps and being charged for them, we spoke via email if I remember correctly, and I then turned your info to our accounting dept and they were supposed to issue you a full credit for the clamps and the shipping. If you have not seen this call me at 800-878-3635 or email me at alstainlessworks@aol.com and we will, as I told you, make it right. If there is still a problem either call us or IM me-I want to do what we can to make it right. I IM'd you after we spoke and never heard back, assuming that you were credited and it was all good.

The headers will connect to the magnaflow x pipe, assuming that you connected the magnaflow x pipe behind the factory cats. Our headers can re-use the factory cats by cutting off the inlet of the cats and welding the adapter cones to the inlet of the cats-then the adapter cones slip onto our headers. Depending on the year of the car, you may have to shorten the h pipe about 1" to get everything to fit together as required. As long as you have not modified the h pipe in front of the cats, then everything should work fine. If their x pipe replaces the cats or eliminates them, then I honestly can't answer your question.

Thanks

So if you hook it up with the adapter cones, can you then later buy the full x-pipe and have a bolt in install?

Yes, you can buy the headers with the adapters, and use these on the factory h pipe. Later, you can buy the high flow 3" center section with or without catalytic converters and it will be a bolt on installation.

Thanks

Al:

I like the oxy-sensors at relatively stock locations. Do you have an install manual on-line or downloadable? This all sounds good to me! But, I'd need to install without a lift, if at all possible. Top or bottom install, left side/passenger?

Thanks, in advance. :yesnod:

AL, I am not complaining about you or your service. Just the vendor that I got them from.

I called you and asked if the clamps came with your set as advertised and Ben/You said yes.

Since I did not receive them from the CF Vendor I purchased the clamps anyway.

So...... If anyone buys the headers......... YES they do come with 2) 3 inch stainless steel clamps --- hence my point.

I am happy with my set, I just wish the CF vendor would have a clue on what they are selling. Another reason I hate middle men. I would have rather purchased the set direct from AL.

Anyway..... FYI...... I have no issues with AL/Ben or SW just the CF vendor.

Al where is my t-shirt....

I have the instructions that Al sent me some time back. I hope to buy a set of headers later this summer or in the fall since we are doing a house remodel and the costs keep climbing

The instructions are pretty simple, especially compared to some of those I have followed recently on the forum where people are prying their motors to the side and jacking them up. I don't personally want to deal with that, even if it costs me a few HP.

Avanti

I emailed you a copy of the installation instructions. You can do it on the gorund with normal high jackstands, and you will not need to jack up the motor or do anything out of the ordinary.

Ryan-Sorry to hear about the problem. Thanks for the IM-I will speak to the vendor and make it clear on what we expect from them as a dealer for us. Let me know your shirt size and I will send one out to you for the hassle you have had.

Thanks

Al:

Many thanks, just found the instructions. I'll print them and take a look. I'm going to have to pull the center section to install the frame "stiffener" this summer so may do this while at it. Just have to find a schedule to work around race car prep for B'ville. :)

Many thanks for the e-mail.
