Default Stainlessworks Headers?

Are stainlessworks headers descent headers? I know they arent the flavor of the month, but kooks seems hard to get, and the SW headers are priced very reasonably without having to wait for a GP.

I have my choice down to three: SW, Dynamaxx and LG. I have been watching the threads on Kooks installation procedures/problems and frankly I just don't want to go through that to install a set of headers. I am hoping to buy late this summer when the project in my house is complete.

Debating on the SW myself. A definite plus for me is that SW is close by and they offer lifetime warranty on the unit. I do not think you can go wrong with any of the name brands I.E. SW, Kooks and LG's.

Yes, SW headers are pretty good; I have a set on my vette. I think LG's are a bit better, and I don't know much about Kooks. I think that the SW headers are a step up from all of the other names.

I looked at all the options considering price, quality, and ease of install, I think the Dynatech's are the best bet. :D

I just had some installed by Dynotech Engineering. Phil (owner) convinced me by explaining that certain headers that they had previously tried had quality control issues (LG's I think) and/or fitment issues. He said the SW headers are a great fit and no quality control issues. Call Phil @ Dynotech Eng. He can fill you in....

I had some recently installed by Dynotech Engineering and Phil (owner) explained that they had some quality control and fitment issues with some other brands, ie LP's, I believe and another brand too. Call Phil. He seemed to be knowwledgeable and helpful with my header decision.

Hi Guys

A few points to keep in mind when looking at our headers vs. the compeititon:

All 304 s/s construction
Tig Welded
LIFETIME GUARANTEE!
3/8" CNC laser cut flanges
Can use the factory cats with the supplied adapters cones or available with a 3" x pipe and center section that makes the install a complete bolt on.
Our 3" center section is all 304 s/s-not aluminized, and includes all clamps and hangers necessary.
We use the factory o2 sensors in the factory location-no jumper hanrnesses or extenders required.
Headers with adapters to go to factory cats: $949
Headers with Off Road 3" s/s center sectiona nd x pipe: $1299
Headers with 3" center section, x piope and random tech high flow cats: $1599

To order, you can buy them through almost any forum sponsor, or through us. Phil at Dynotech does a great job selling our products and is very knowledgeable.

Strope speed shop in PA just installed a set on a 2002 Z06 and gained 31 RWHP and 33 RWFT#-with no programming. They did install a center section with high flow cats and a k&n air intake. Be aware that when some folks post huge gains it includes removing the cats, tuning, z06 intake, etc. The car gained substantial power at every point on the curve.

If anyone has any questions please let me know. Thanks for your support and business.

Anyone got undercar photo's? Also, how does this system connect to the Ti exhaust. I looked at the photo of all the separate pipes and can't see any flanges. Is there any problem with all the joints in the system? There seems to be many more joints then say LG or Dynatech.

I have had mine for about a year and have had no problems with them - in fact was under the car today and they still look beautiful. Also - with a Blackwing intake and Stainless Works Headers I get 335 rwhp. The customer service from Stainless Works is really great.

Just had Stainless Works install a set of headers 3 weeks ago and they are great. Very good customer service and a great product, plus they are within 1/4 mile of my house. Al is great to work with.

Al,

I have the Z06 Ti exhaust on my vert, what do I need to connect to that system? I will replace the cats when I do this as I want to preserve my stock system without touching it.
