Hi:
I am writing this to find out about any problems installing the Dynatech headers. I noticed from a previous post that the band clamps leak and the O2 sensor on one side touches the torque tube.
How do the headers fit? Do the headers hang down below the body, or are they tucked into the tunnel? Does anyone have pictures? Are the installation instructions easy to follow and are they complete? Is the install easy?
I hope that I can get these questions answered.
Thank You for the help

I don't have them, but they are high on my final list. From what I can tell, they are relatively easy to install. Most have stated they have a contact issue with the O2 sensor, but haven't seen any follow-ups to state whether this is a problem later. One person put some washers between the front tabs and the mount and picked up enough clearance to keep the O2 sensor from touching. That is the only issue I have seen with these thus far. Also, the poster that had the leaking issue readily fixed it with a little rest and clearing of the mind.
Right now, my top three are SW, LG and the Supermaxx.
I have a set that was supposed to ship this week, got them on a GP from Tbyrne motorsports. You should check the dynatech website for pics, they fit in the tunnel very well....the O2 issue is one of adjustment when you get the whole system on, I think. Anyway, I'll let you know when I get mine, I haven't heard of any issues with leakage, in fact one the things I like about the system is the system of mounting the cats (flanged). I have heard of some leaking problems in one of the other top systems due to the way they fit together....you have to make a couple of cuts to adjust them....not a big deal to me but some thought it was a pain....I think they (vendor) have fixed that on the later sets...
they fit perfect and go in easy. The front o2s do seem to contact the torque tube cover but i just dented in the cover in front to clearance them. You need to make sure you tie the o2 wires way away from the headers as they get really hot. Im consistantly getting a code P0430 code saying the pass cat is inefficient. If its an o2, a leak or a cat I dont know for sure. But im not going to go buy a 70 dollar o2 just to home it fixes it. Other then that everything went well. They dont hang low or anything.
I just installed Dynatech headers this weekend along with the help of another local vette owner. The install was straightforward. The drivers side header went in from the bottom and the passenger side went in from the top. We did not need to remove the valve covers or unbolt the steering shaft.
The O2 sensor clearance in the front is limited, but there weren't any issues on making them fit. As long as you are sure to have the headers aligned and follow the alignment procedure you should not have any issues. We did use a few tie wraps to pull the O2 sensor wiring out of the way.
I've put around 350 miles on the car since the header install and I have not had any issues with leaks or codes.
Overall I am very satisfied with the build quality and design of the headers. I plan to dyno tune later this week and will post numbers as soon as I get them.
