Took my car back up to Carolina auto masters and had Jeff re-dyno and verify my tune that I had done about 45 days ago The only thing I did was put on an ls6 intake nothing else. The conditions (if it matters to anyone) today it was 93* 45 days ago it was 79* I drove 2hrs in traffic before I got there and the car had maybe 10 min of cool down/strapping it on the dyno. See my sig for a list of mods .
My numbers before 335hp 345tq
After ls6 342hp 350tq
I cant post the dyno sheet until next week but one thing I noticed is that there were gains of 10 hp & tq in areas after the curve.
overall its about what I expected to get and a good mod to do before my cam install. :)
I should also mention the graph looks identical until about 4000 Rpm's then the LS6 intake starts to make more hp&tq
I think the LS6 intake is a must do for 97-00 C5's, particularly if you are planning on upgrading to longtubes and H/C. For $400.00, it is decent bang for your buck, but more importantly, it provides potential. :yesnod:
Just got my Chevy High Perf mag in the mail the other day. They did a comparison of 5 intakes on an LS1. Later on they are gonna add a cam, then heads, etc. to see which one is best as more mods are added. Good graphs and info. Made it easy for me to understand and compare all of them at once. Thought some of you guys might want to take a look. Scott
i think it was car craft magazine, they did a cam comparison last issue. well they still have the ls1 hooked to the dyno, so they tryed all the manifolds they could come up with. lsx, lpe/weiand, ls6, ls1, and the 6.0 manifold off a truck. well it was interesting for sure. ls6, and 6.0 manifold came out on top, until way up there. off idle up to 4k ls1 was right with them all. i think all the vendors should send them all a set of headers. tpis, lgm, kooks, dynamaxx, bassani. i like bassani's new high flow cat. not to expensive either........ :chevy

Where is a good place to get the Bassani high flow cats? I am getting the Bassani exhaust soon and would like to get the system with it. Thanks
