OK, just review....the Lingenfelter site said 500rwhp for 3.42 gearing....4.10's put sixth gear into the power band sooner so it becomes usable and moves the required HP down.

NEPTUNEILL did 195 with 3.90's and it was still climbing with 500rwhp and the headlights were up.....fact....no formulas....no heresay. For those using PIAA running lights the following is an observed fact by me: While hitting 170 with them on, I put my factory pop-up lights up and the car went down to 162 immediately.

With stock gears the car is drag limited with stock power. If you up the power you are rev limited in 5th and drag limited in 6th. At 180, I was still climbing lights up and a passenger. Iam in the hood of 450rwhp and think 190+ is very possible without a NOS shot without headlights up.

ATI soon will put the dabate to bed.

Possibly we can stop once again talking if we dont have personal experience in the matter....perhaps future posters on THIS topic should post thier top speeds with their theories.

My top speed is 114 on a closed road course where I am a responsible instructor. My theories are more than theories they are based on solid physics. The same thing that keeps airplanes in the sky and wind tunnels in business.

Rich, let's don't forget speedo error. These people that refuse to believe physics see the Porsche's and Ferrari's with less HP that get in the 190s+mph. They just don't understand that aerodynamics is the key, kinda like ram-air hp at automobile speeds
