Hi, need some help with removing the rear Rotor on C5, i removed the caliper and caliper bracket already, but the Rotors doesn't want to come out, i can move it a little bit, and looks like it's lock somewhere. Do i have to disengage the Hand Brake of the car? Or do i just forcing it to come out.
The C5 uses a drum brake for the Ebrake. Release your Ebrake and then you have turn the rotor in both directions to get it to pop free. Then it will slide off. Takes a little work but it will come off. Check to maek sure the brake shoes are in properly before reinstalling the rotor.

:iagree:
If it still does not want to come off, pull the e-brake handle up and down about 5 times.
During removal of the rotor, disengage the e-brake cable at the backing plate. You will see it looking in the back, and pulling the cable and turning it will pop it right off. This will give you maximum clearance. This is also what the service manual has in it for rotor removal. Note, if you adjust the brake you will need to re-attach the cable before adjustment, otherwise you can leave it off until you have your new rotor on.

And if that doesn't work, soak it un WD40 and take a rubber mallet to it.

The front set comes out without any problem.
Lot of good information above. After you have made sure the Ebrake isn't holding it and the square assembly washers are removed from the studs you may need to get violent to break the rust weld between the hub and the rotor's inside edge. A rubber mallet or big hammer with a block of wood usually works. Go into it with the correct state of mind. Usually right after you pay an ever increasing tax bill is a good time. :)
