Yes, I have and Yes, it's possible. But you won't want to do it on ramps.
Do a search for Vararam; see the tab under "forums" on the upper left of your screen.
I used a car lift (hoist) at my local Chevy dealer and it was still a PITA.
I do like the results though.

Did it on my ramps at home, no problem. If I were to do it again, I'd just pull the front fascia off. I've had mine off before and it's a heck of a lot easier than working with it on the car.
