Wheel Pressure Sensors??
Hi there everyone. I have a 1998 A4 Coupe. I was looking into purchasing some wheels for my car but the wheels that a I want to purchase from a buddy of mine already come with the sensors. the only problem is that his vette is a 2003. Can I makes these work on my car or do will I need to put my sensors on? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

The 03 sensors will not work, you need to put the sensors from your 98 on. The 03 sensors are snobs and will not talk to your computer so you will get error codes on the TPS circut. Put your 98s on the wheels and sell the 03 sensors for a profit.

The 2003 sensors will not work on your car.
There were 2 style sensors used on C5's...The old style - 97-00 (any of these year sensors will work on your car), and the new style, 01-04 (these will not work on your car).
You would need to either swap your sensors in, or pick up a new set (of the old style) to put in them, if you wish to keep your old wheels/tires intact and ready to use. You could then sell the new stye sensors you take out to offset some of the cost, or maybe your buddy would want to keep them for his new wheels.
