Picked up my car today. So far i like the feel of the clutch. The pedal is a tad stiffer and lets out about 3/4 way. Very little chatter when i take off. By the time i got home i could take off with no chatter. Just took some getting used too. I heard good and bad about this clutch so i was worried about getting it. I think when it gets broke in there won't be any chatter. I did not get the flywheel balanced and there is no vibration even at 100. I'm glad i got it and i hope this info helps someone.
Glad to hear someone is happy with a Spec clutch. I'm getting a little concerned as lately everyone is saving that you need the Exedy cluth (way expensive).
My spec 3 was OK for a while but now with my new stroker motor it chatters uncontrollably.
Oddly, my old stock motor was not very well balanced and the Spec is neutral balanced, meaning I should have chattered a lot -- but it didn't. Now that my stroker is balanced the supposed to be balanced Spec is chattering like crazy.
I was wondering if you guys used the gasket that was included in the clutch kit? The spec instructions said it was for f-bodys but i had them put it in mine. It's a spacer for the slave so the clutch will fully disengage.
I had the same problem...it rattled and chattered so bad that I didn't want to drive the car in town......the Exedy Twin is soooooooo much better.....it cost more, but you get what you pay for.
