I'm having the same problem on a 2001 Z06. The passenger side door does not respond to anything. My friend checked the boxes by the firewall on the passenger side and said nothing was damp.

Sorry to bring back an old post but I thought this would be better than starting a new one.

The only solution I know it to replace the Right Door Control Module.

Don't know the cost, because mine was replaced under warranty. But I watched them replace it in the parking lot at work. It was not very difficult.

Hope this helps.

Don't worry about digging up an old post. Hell it was my post

Where is the passenger side door control module located? Is it just unplug and plug in the new one?

You still having issues with your car??? Welcome back by the way!!!

Up-date me on whats up with your car.

Bill

Make sure that you battery is fully charged! The loss of communications codes happen when the supply voltage for each module goes low for what ever reason. Usually happens when starting the car after it has been sitting stored after a long period of time OR if you were playing the stereo for a while cleaning or vacuuming the car or parked listening to the radio while your waiting for someone to return.

Get the battery checked out and see if it has a good reserve capacity (able to maintain 12 VDC for a specified time and is able to recover quickly after discharge.)

Please let us know how things turn out.

My 02 Z06 gets the same "Charging System" faults. Not too often but just every once in a while. I learned to ignor it unless it stays on or I get a check engine light associated with it. Strange, but my 98 almost NEVER had that fault.

I told my service department about it and they wrote it in my warrenty paper work and stated that it is nothing to worry about unless it sets a code or stays on.
