Default wheel question

A friend of mine is looking at getting new wheels for his 97 vette and he would like to be able to rotate his tires. My question is this, are there going to be problems if he puts 17" or 18" rims on all four? If so, what kind of problems? Has anyone done this?

There are many ppl who use 17" or 18" on all 4 corners. However, most ppl use slightly larger rims on the rear wheels. The other challange maybe many tire are uni directional, i.e. can only go on one way. So if the tire is put from the right side to the left side traction maybe less and rain would not drain out from under the tire.

if Your freind used all for rims the same size and all four tires the same size with a tread that can go in either direction ( which is not normal now ) then Yes he can rotate tires with out a problem.

You could go with 275/35/18 on all 4 and even rotate front to back with uni-directional tread.
