I installed one in my 99 6sp about 1 year after installing the vararam and I can't say that I felt any difference with the velocity stack but who can feel 5hp SOTP, I know I can't. I will say that the initial installation of the vararam made a huge difference that I could feel from off idle to redline.

I had the same car, and the same experience. I did dyno it though. With it in and taken out 0hp difference. But that was standing still. I don't know if running at 60-90mph with a VaraRam would help this gizmo make power.

I am just glad there wasnt anybody trying to sell the brooklyn bridge the day I bought mine. I would probably have bought it as well. Sometimes I put to much faith in what people say. The ad said up to 15? hp gain. I cant tell at all. But I also installed my Kooks and a haltech stinger shortly afterthat so who knows what the total is until I get on a dyno. But the only real down is that at $45 it is a bit pricey for a vacuformed plastic part. If I had it to do again I would just do the polish & port that I saw here once and use the money for something else. You pays your money and takes your chances. And so it goes

That seems to be the consensus.
