Default Thanks "Dynotech"!!

This is a thread I posted over on Z06Vette.com. I thought you guys should see it too. This took place a couple of weeks ago at the Z06 Fest. You just don't see customer service like this very often:

Dynotech in Ft. Wayne Indiana has done all the work on my Z. I had them do a few "tweaks" the week before the Fest, just to get her in tip top shape. While at the drags on Friday, I threw my serpentine belt. This is a major problem with a Vortech blower. In order to get the belt back on, you must remove the blower and aftercooler. Not to mention repairing any damage the belt shrapnel does when it comes apart.

I called Phil at Dynotech around 1:00pm BG time, and told him what had happened. His response was, "Let me see what Jeromy and Tim have planned for the weekend. Maybe I can talk them into coming down and getting you back up and running." I couldn't believe it, all the way from Fort Wayne. About a half hour later Phil called and said, "Heck, I didn't even have to talk them into it. They'll load up the truck and be there as soon as they can." That boys and girls is 350 + miles away!

Is that taking care of the customer or what? Phil and I have become pretty good friends while he's been working on my car, but this takes the cake!

Here are some shots of the guys working on my car under the arch in front of the Hampton Inn. They got to BG around 9:00pm.

When the belt came apart, it cut a bunch of the wiring to the active handling and anti lock break systems. Here's Tim splicing it back together:

They brought a whole pick up full of tools. They even brought a bearing press in case a pulley had a messed up bearing.

The guys hung out with us the rest of the weekend. It's nice having your own pit crew! I told Adam at the NCM about what they had done, and he let me bring them to the banquet Saturday Night. Here's a shot of them standing in front of one of the exhibits. Phil, the owner of DTE, was an engine builder on both these race cars:

All I can say is, THANKS GUYS!! If you're thinking about modding your Z, I can't recommend these guys highly enough!!

I have had ZERO problems (other than not finding a cure for leadfootitis) with my maggied a4...I called many other vendors, and other than A and A,,(way, way too far away) ,, ther was no other that treated me like DTE....I have seen Phils guys drive to other places to get cars back on the road....when you need them , they will be there if at all posssible....

Thanks Tom, the guys certainly do appreciate it. I think that as long as there are nice looking women and Corvette's around like there was at the Z06Fest, my technicians would be there at a drop of a dime.

BTW- Is that 606 RWHP getting boring for you yet??? While we have it here, what do you say we "step it up" a bit??? Don't worry, we won't tell the Mrs....

Best Regards,
Phil

Not YET. As to "stepping it up", you're the professional, I'll leave that to you.

I agree!! DTE installed my Yank tc and 3:42 differential in July. They stayed until 6:30 p.m. so I could head home that night! The DTE gang rocks
