LT headers will give you a substantial increase with stock cats, high-flow cats, or no cats. The scavenging effect is what makes the most power difference.
If you have stock manifolds and bothered to swap in high flow cats (which likely made little if any difference), yes, absolutely the headers will make a difference.
I'm guessing (and basing this reply) only because the way you worded your question. Too many people think of exhaust only in terms of 'less restriction", but headers do more than that, which is why they make so much more power over the "they flow well" stock manifolds.

Question: On a 2002, are there pre-cats and cats? Does putting on LT headers eliminate the pre-cats? I have Z06 exhaust on my vert and want more sound and a little more power. I was thinking about a set of headers. Are there any recommendations out there. Thanks in advance.
I have a brand new set of Random Technology High Flow Cats and a slightly used X Pipe that are a bolt on for LT Headers. If anyone is interested, just email me @ jaymullen@earthlink.net
