Losing Power Over 5K RPM
Recently when I was letting the car wrap out I noticed over 5K the motor loses power. It doesn't stop pulling, it just gets a lot weaker. I recently replaced an oxygen sensor and put a new IAT sensor harness on with a new IAT (the one that makes it read 36* all the time) due to codes read with an Autotap. I thought it may be the the IAT so I bought a standard one from Autozone but am still having the same problem. I noticed with the autotap that at the same time I start losing power, knock retard starts registering in the negative degrees and keeps increasing with RPM. Anyone have any ideas on this? I have a vararam, headers, and modified MAF ends but those components have been on the car for over a year with no issues. Thanks

Have you had your car dyno tuned by some one who really knows how to do one??? Not just an LS 1 edit
Most vettes max out at 4800 to 5000 rpms then maintain from there. So your best shift points are 4600 to 4800 to get the most torque out of your car.

I've had it on a dyno before but not dyno tuned and its peak horsepower was somewhere around 5500, I don't have the sheet in front of me. I also forgot to mention that I have a MAFT which was installed with the headers and Vararam that I thought could be the problem. Luckily my brother has a spare and we swapped them out with no luck.
