CLB Power unit "other uses"
Can I use the electric power unit that comes with CLB kits to hold computer memory settings when I disconnect my battery? I know that you can buy these 9V units that plug into the cigarette lighter to hold the memories when disconnecting the battery, so I wondered if the kit power unit does the same thing.

Yes.. you can keep the ECM memory, radio, etc.. alive with connecting a power source via the lighter socket cable. I picked up a 12v alarm backup battery from parts direct for $4. Works great.

The power cord for the CLB plugs into the lighter OR the AUX 12 VDC socket in the glove box. It does not have a 12 VDC supply. It uses the 12 volts from the socket to power the CL motor.
I guess if you wired a 12 volt or 9 volt battery to the CLB power cord it would function as a 12 or 9 volt source.
