Is there any difference between 2003 and 2004 Z06 heads and if so can you tell by a visually only?

Thanks for the help.

The only difference happened between the 01 and 02 head. The 02 valve was slightly lighter..

It didn't seem to bother my car.. cam only with 01 Z06 heads put down 430.9 rwhp.

I would just find the cheapest good condition set

That's not exactly true. The exhaust valve got sodium filled to lose weight and the valves were both slightly longer to accomodate the new high lift cam which was ground on a smaller base circle. The head castings are the same. The springs are also special beehive type to accomodate the longer valve stems. Don't mix parts without accomodating for the difference or you will screw up valve train geometry. Best bet is to use the correct year pushrod as a baseline.
