Route For Wiring

What's the best route for the wire?

I installed heated seats in my 98 Coupe and my 02 ZO6 and ran all of the wires from the engine compartment into the passengers footwell through the large wiring harness that goes through the fire wall!
I used a coat hanger and bent the end into a small tear drop shaped loop. Remove the battery and find the large wiring harness that goes through the fire wall. It will go through the rubber seal. Grease up the hanger with some grease or WD-40 and slip it in between the wiring harness and the fire wall seal. Gently push it in and once you have it in about 8" look in the passengers foot well and find it. I tapped my wires to the loop and pulled them into the engine compartment.
A lot of the wires that go to the back of the vehicle run on the passengers side along the outboard frame rail door sill. I removed the plastic door sill cover, seat belt cover, roof support cover and the speaker cover. Run your wiring in the wire loops with the rest of the wires.
