RWHP gains from headers?
As you can see, they'll be for an '00 FRC. The car's moderately modified as is, but I'm wondering what kind of RWHP gains I could expect to see from LTs, mids, or shorties. . . and how much work needs to be done to accomodate them.
My Dad tried to tell me not to mess with headers because the stock ehxaust manifolds on the C5 were 'almost like headers anyway, so I wouldn't see a gain.'
I don't buy it. What do you think? Thanks for the input,
Mikey

'00 black FRC: Blackwing intake, GMS MAF, HPPIII, 160* stat, hi-flo water pump, borla titanium, hi-flo cats, *CAGS, *runflats, smooth air coupler, nology plug wires. G-tech say 12.3 @ 116, but we all know how accurate those are

Are you still running the stock tune? A dyno tune would help you maximize your mods.

Dyno soon!
Seat of the pants meter says 25+
I can already feel the need for the Heads and cam treatment!

The car is his and I'm helping him modify it to go through is mid-life crisis
so we'll see how it goes. We've had some fun times/impressive kills with it since it was new, but I think he really wants a little more power. He got pretty tweaked when a lightly modded Z06 edged him out (he got a stock one by about a car 60-130 a while back) and the mod bug has bit him again
Anyways, I've heard Kooks are good. . . they're also ridiculously expensive. Any less expensive options that will still show the same gains? Any input = much appreciated!

I disagree. Kooks are very reasonably priced. You may be thinking of the LGs.
[/QUOTE]Hi here is a good deal on long tube headers $679.00, I have mine but have not installed yet, they look great.
