c5 brakes ?
ok hey guys i have a 1996 lt1
yeah yeah its not a c5...
well i want to upgrade my brake system to c5 system.
i kno how to do all that but i have a couple q's
1. whats the difference between Z06 calipers and rotors and regular c5 rotors and calipers?
2. if i was going to buy used calipers... how much is fair and what range of miles on the acctual calipers should i look for? meaning when will they go bad or need to be replaced?

Calipers and rotors on the Z06 and other C5s are the same. ZO6 has the calipers painted or powdercoated red. No other difference.
I think each caliper from a Chevy dealer is about $180 NEW
Rotors from Chevy / GM about $55 - $60 each butyou can get the same rotors from rockauto.com for about $20 each
part numbers 56700 to 56703
or Napa about $25 each
partnumbers 86700, to 86703
ZO6 pads are a little more agressive then stock C5 pads.
