Default 1-4 upshift circuit

My z started throwing code p0803 (1-4 upshift solenoid control circuit) I have the cag defeat installed 6 mos ago. I've tried deleting the code, but it keeps popping up. Any idea's, I hate doing the dealer thing and I'll have to uninstall my cag defeat.

Might be a dirty connection at your CAGS defeat module, or it could be defective. Try plugging in the original CAGS connection from the Tranny and see if the problem goes away. If so, you will need to replace your CAGS defeat module.

Good luck.

Can anyone recommend a good CAGS defeat plug. I want to install one but have read too many posts on the ones that fail.

I took my cag defeat apart there was no resistor in it. It had two wires that had some silver solder on the wire tips and the wires were sitting in a silicone plug. The two wires were not attached to nothing except the silicone plug. I pulled the silicone off and soldered one of the radio shack resistor between the wires and I'll reinstall it. It looks a little neater than tape on one end of the transmission harness. It will easier to take off and on if I go in for service.
