wet floor
checked the A/C drain, and it does not appear to be clogged, however, it is just a plastic tube that barely sticks out of the firewall, with a 1/4 inch gap all the way around it. Is this normal?
Should there be an elbow with more drain tube???

***there is a thread started by dope titled "water leaking on passenger floor." it is very current and has the info you're looking for.
good luck

If the 90 deg rubber fitting is missing the water MAY be running out of the tube and running back down the metal tube and back into the passengers foot well. I would put some silicone sealer around the outside of the metal tune to seal it off from the fire wall.
PLEASE make sure that you "REMOVE" your carpets and dry them properly or they will mildew and smell BAD!!! While they are out you can clean them with a carpet cleaner.
