What is located behind the dead pedal? I need to run an O2 wideband wire through the firewall and it isn't happenin on the passenger side. Any other suggestions?

Reason: mispelling
I'd leave the dead pedal intact. Theres a perforated circle just a little above the pedals (on the firewall) that you can remove and then drill a hole to pass-through.
Have a look with a flashlight, you'll see it. Hope this helps. Take care!
Thanks for the post. Can you be a little more specific about the perforated circle. How big is it? Quarter sized, golf ball size? Which petal is it near. Will I be able to punch it out with my finger or will I need a hammer. I appreciate any other scoop you can give. Also, so what it behind the dead pedal for curiosity sake. Thanks again.
I used the area behind dead pedal to run the wires through when installing my ZR3 Laser Shifter.
First remove dead pedal (2 screws) Then you have to remove the front drivers side wheel/tire and remove the fender well liner (about 6 screws).
When you get the fender liner off, you will see wires already there running through a rubber grommit in the floor panel on the back side of the dead pedal.
You might be able to get your new wires through this same hole or, if there's not enough room, just drill another hole, which is what I did.
It's really not as hard as it sounds and is an excellent place for routing wires from engine compartment to the interior of car.
Just got your post. I "think" it was just above the brake pedal, it's actually pretty large (if memory serves me correct). You should be able to see what I'm talkin' about with a flashlight.
You can simply drill whatever diameter hole(s) you require right there. Let us know how you make out.
The rubber gromets can be used as a wiring conduit! All you have to do is use a metal coat hanger that has a nice smooth loop added to the end that you shove in between the wires and the gromet seal. Tape the wires to the other end and once the hanger is in the passengers compartment, grab it and pull the wires through.
Got up at 0600 while kids and wife were still crashed. Put the car back on jacks and attacked the drivers side with a passion. Dads, I did not find the place you were speaking of. I was disappointed not to find Jimmy Hoffa's missing pieces behind the dead pedal. In fact, there wasn't a darn thing behind the dead pedal except open firewall and space. I made a nice neat little hole with the drill followed up by the dremel. Fed the cable in no problem and filled the hole with silicon and used duct tape to hold everything in place while the silicon dries. All nice, neat, clean and inconspicous. Only took about an hour since I removed the tire to remove the fender access panel so I could drill from the outside. It saved me lots of time and effort. Thanks to all for the advice, comical and helpful. Now if I could find a smart electric guy that can give the local to a 12 volt wire that is hot while the engine is running.
In the passengers foot well behind the toe board there are three wires that are made just for that purpose. They are ground (BLACK WIRE), Hot all the time (RED WIRE) and switched with ignition (YELLOW WIRE)
The wires are above and to the left fo the BCM (silver box) They will be taped in a duct tape material.

Here is what the wires look like before they are un-taped!
I will give tha wiring a shot and see if I can make that work. I thought that was only hot with assecessory which will work but I was looking for only when the engine is running due to the sensitivity of the WB sensor. Thanks,
Okay, I am going with the yellow wire. I actually bought a voltmeter yesterday (I am getting dangerous with electricity). I am installing the Innovations LM-1. I haven't logged anything yet but may give that a shot today if I can get the wiring done to my satisfaction. Trust me, I was excited that Jimmy Hoffa might be in my car so I am just as disappointed as the rest of you. Maybe the trunk. I'll check there Thanks again folks, especially the pics.
Using your very detailed pics, I did not find the same wiring set by the BCM. Everything in that area was plugged in tight. They must have changed it for the 2004's. I am just going to install a switch I guess. I will have run through a checklist like on a plane before driving the car or leaving the car until I find a better solution. Thanks,
Yep, they took out the accessory connector in '04. I have all my gauges and WB going off the primary ignition wire. All hot from the time the key is turned and it is right there under the dash.
