Just drive the car like a Z06 is designed to be driven and you'll never once have that thing affect you.

Why are you shifting to 2nd so soon.

I ask this all the time in these CAGS posts but have yet to get a good answer or a good reason why.

I'd love to know..............

I work on a military installation and the speed limits are 10 mph on lower base and 15-25 mph everywhere else. This is the ONLY place that I have EVER had CAGS kick in!!! If you see the 1st-4st light come on the dash, just accelerate a little bit harder and the light will go out and BYE BYE CAGS! No need to purchase any of thet CAGS crap! It is only a resistor that you can buy in any electronics store. if you want to know the value of the resistor look in the Tech tips section!

Oh yea,,,CAGS wont come on when your at full throttle or shifting at 6000 RPM!

Just throw in a 2.2k resistor in there.

The light still comes on but does not trigger the solenoid.

Before I bought my M6 I thought that CAGS would be annoying. After owning the car for 2 month it has never bothered me once. Just don't shift into second so soon. However, the CAGS does drive my wife crazy! I fixed that problem by not letting her drive!!
